Likeable Links

I am so happy it’s Friday!

Do you ever have those days that fly by and all of a sudden it's 3:00 pm and you're freaking out that you only have a few hours left until the end of the day?  That's been my whole week?

I am ready to relax and try to get ahead on some of the work I did not get to this week.  And I am so excited that it's October.  September and October are probably my two favorite months!

With this week being so crazy, I leave you with some Likable Links for your weekend.

** I find this article kind of horrifying.  I don't think I would want Jaime to do something like this for me.  I am way too much of a control freak.  At least I know I am though.  :)

** First things first, this list of ‘25 Things Every WomanShould Know’ is pretty much dead on.  Especially #4, so everyone write that one down.

** The iOS 7 features are starting to really confuse me, so thank God for this list.  I am sure I’m using my iPhone to about 20% of its potential.

** The ‘100best dishes and drinks in New York City 2013’ was released this week.  We will definitely be wanting to try some of these this fall.

** Am I actually an introvert?

Have a great weekend!

New Mexico Recap: Part 2

After attending the stunning New Mexico wedding we did last weekend, we ended up heading back to Albuquerque and spending a couple of days at the Los Poblanos Inn and Organic Farm.  It was incredibly relaxing.

I love a canopy bed.  I wish we could fit one in our apartment.

The only thing to make our stay even more relaxing?  A thunderstorm.

I have never stayed at a hotel that provided earplugs before.

We had some delicious food while we were there.  I overdid it on New Mexican food though.  Sadly the restaurant on their grounds, La Merienda, was closed during our stay.

The view from 10,000 feet was beautiful.

I wish a bike ride was a part of my normal Monday routine.

I am not sure if and when we'll ever be back in New Mexico, but I'd highly recommend a stay on these gorgeous grounds if you are visiting.

Weekend Recap

Happy Monday!  Lots of relaxing was done this weekend.  We are back to our normal routine after traveling last weekend and Jaime being a bit under the weather.

Friday night we attended a late birthday dinner at Frankies 457 in Brooklyn for one of my best friends.  It was a family style Italian feast and was delicious.  It of course included a lot of red wine.

One shot with the birthday girl.

Saturday I was back to my normal Barry's class.  A 2 minute plank on the treadmill is not how I want to end an intense run (which included sprints and inclines).  I guess I'm getting what I pay for.

It was a gorgeous day out on Saturday, so we spent the day shopping in Soho.  I don't remember Soho ever being so busy when we would visit New York before living here.  Where did all these people come from?!

Anyway, Fall wardrobes have arrived.  I didn't pick-up any clothes (like I'm waiting in the dressing room line on a Saturday afternoon), but I did pick-up some new make-up.  Stay tuned for that post.  The brand I purchased offers pretty amazing coverage.

Have a great week!

New Mexico Recap: Part 1

For those of you that follow me on Instagram, I sincerely apologize for the picture overload this past weekend.  Who am I kidding, I'm not sorry.  Deal with it.

We spent this past weekend in Santa Fe and Albuquerque.  First stop, Santa Fe for a friend's wedding.  It was STUNNING!  I really want to be a wedding planner, going to weddings only reiterates this.  (It's definitely something I've thought of doing on the side.)

First stop was the rehearsal dinner at the La Pasada Hotel.  While we didn't stay there, I'd highly recommend it!  Gorgeous grounds.

How adorable is this patio setting?  Apparently we just had missed a tequila serving donkey.  Dammit!

Another shot with this gorgeous lady at the rehearsal dinner.  Yes, we pretty much have the same outfit on.  Oops.

This was our breathtaking view for the cocktail hour on Saturday night at the wedding.

I cannot tell you how much I love a long rectangular table with a great runner (no tablecloth).  So freaking elegant!  And chiavari chairs...need I say more?

Yes, I had a number of wine glasses in front of me.  Judge away.

Such a clever selection of late night snacks!

In the end, it was an amazing wedding!  Great location, amazing food and a gorgeous couple.  I'm so glad they had their wedding in New Mexico; great place to visit.

Happy (almost) Friday!  The second half of our New Mexican journey will be posted next week.

Likable Links!

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  It's been a while (again).  It's so hard to keep this up sometimes.

We just returned from a very fun/relaxing weekend in New Mexico.  Definitely a state I thought I'd never visit, but one that I'd recommend going forward.

As I prep our long weekend recap, here are some Likable Links to get you through the week.

** This looks like a really cute Mexican place in Brooklyn.  I might need to take a bit of a break from Mexican food though after this weekend.  (There's something I thought I'd never say.)  Look how cool the trailer is!

** I love a good cheese plate.  But sometimes it's hard to make them look pretty.  These creative ideas for your next party to impress your guests.  We have some gorgeous slates from Brooklyn Slate to achieve look number three.

** I need the new iPhone 5S.  This article only reconfirms it even more.  I have been trying to upgrade my software and even that isn't possible right now; I have too many pictures on my phone (shocking, I know).

** To go to business school or not go to business school, that is the question in this article.  There was a time I was thinking about going back to school.  Not so much anymore.  Would you go back?

Enjoy the rest of your week!  Even with a five day weekend, we are counting down the days until Friday.

Stay tuned for part 1 of the New Mexico recap.  :)

More Time

There are not enough hours in the day.  Does anyone else feel the pressure to fit in at least 3 REALLY GOOD workouts in a week, along with everything else?

Here's something to remember that I thought was really funny though.  Just try to fit everything in and if you can't, there's always tomorrow.  :)

(Sidenote: This quotes comes to you as I watch Beyonce's documentary on our new Roku.  If you haven't purchased one of these just yet, buy one.)

I'm hoping to have some fall fashion round-ups for you soon.  There are so many great looks out there this season.

Next up, Likable Links!
