Weekend Recap!

What a great weekend!  I love when you don’t have any real set plans and end up being busy both Saturday and Sunday.

Of course to kick-off the weekend we enjoyed our typical Friday.  Duh!

After the gym on Saturday morning, we met up with an old friend of ours to meet her adorable new baby.  She loved Jaime.  ;)

Before our dinner date, we decided to try this little coffee shop that recently opened near our apartment.  Great coffee and I found out they served wine as well!  The name is cute too, Whynot Coffee & Wine!  It's always packed!  Definitely a locals hangout.

 Saturday night we headed to dinner at The Musket Room where we enjoyed modern New Zealand cuisine.  I wasn’t really sure what to expect, but it was quite delicious.  I’d definitely recommend this place.  It is very cozy and appears to be a great spot to have a cocktail.  I loved the decor.  However, this large arrangement apparently toppled on a guest when I was in the bathroom.

 Following dinner we met up with some friends at BarBossa, a Brazilian bar.  They also had delicious cocktails.  I definitely want to try food at this place sometime as well.

Finally, on Sunday we cheered the undefeated Chiefs on at John Brown’s Smokehouse in Long Island City.  We have been trying to make it out there for weeks, but just finally got to it this weekend.  Definitely the best BBQ in New York.  If you haven’t tried it, do.  You won’t be disappointed.  We will absolutely be back!

Jaime gets very serious when watching sports, especially the Chiefs.  ;)
