Fall Fashion Inspiration

Fall fashion is my favorite!  Granted, right now it’s freezing and I don’t care how cute I look because I want to be warm.  If this parka wasn’t the best investment ever, I don’t know what was.  While fall/winter clothes are a little bulky, I would rather throw on boots and a sweater, than shorts and a t-shirt any day.

Does anyone else rely on magazines and Pinterest for fashion inspiration?  I do.  Even if you don’t have the exact same pieces, you can pretty much mimic any look.  Here are a few outfit inspirations I've turned to:

I love that this outfit could easily transition from day to night after a day at the office.

I want a grey beanie!

All I need is a blue checkered shirt to complete this look.  I also need to perfect a sock-bun, but that's not going to happen.  :(

There's nothing super special about this look, other than it's effortlessly chic.  Great for a weekend.

There are so many staple pieces that I need and want for my wardrobe.  The highest one on my list is the classic black caviar Chanel bag.

Where do you find your fashion inspiration?

PS - I might start trying to take pictures of what I wear.  We did get a new camera for Christmas (a post on the kind is coming soon).

Who wears short leather shorts?

Leather, leather, leather and more leather.  Your entire wardrobe for the coming season should pretty much consist of all leather.

I was baffled by the rise of leather shorts.  So odd.  Leather pants? Maybe.  Leather skirts?  Sure.  But leather shorts?!  All I can think about when it comes to leather pants is Ross Geller on Friends.

I gave into the trend this weekend when Jaime and I wandered up to Club Monaco to glance at the fall collections.

I must say, I'm pretty excited about this pair I picked up.
*Sidenote: Club Monaco's fall line is pretty adorable!

Now, what the heck do you wear with leather shorts now and in the fall?  Here are some great photos for inspiration:

Love this super casual look for the day.  Who would have thought you could pair flannel with leather shorts?

Nothing better than a classic white t-shirt with pretty much anything.

You can never go wrong with black on black.  I also love her shoes.  I purchased some similar to (hopefully) wear this weekend.

I adore her bag and jewelry.  I'm officially on the hunt for her blouse as well.

Now for some fall looks:

There is going to be a lot of leather on leather this season.  As you may recall, a new black leather jacket is one of the many items on my fall wish list.

My husband, and I think most men, hate the shorts and tights look.  He's going to have to get over it because with leather shorts, it's bound to happen in the colder months.  Complete the look with a great pair of stilettos and you're set!

Have I persuaded you to purchase leather shorts yet?

Looks I'm Loving for Fall!

Fall is nearing, thank god, and Fall clothes are coming out in stores.  I cannot believe we are going to have to start thinking about sweaters and jackets.

Items on my Fall wish list include: 1) a new black leather jacket, 2) any chunky sweaters, 3) boots (always - even though I just bough a new pair of Frye's last season) and of course 4) scarves - preferably a really long ivory cashmere one!

Additionally, here are a few looks I'm loving right now for the Fall.  Hopefully it can serve as inspiration to you as well.

I love this look of an over-sized black sweater with a great pair of stilettos.  I am pretty sure my Grandma Kay's philosophy that heels go with anything works here.  ;)  I cannot agree more.

I must find this flannel shirt and the lighter colored jeans!  I pretty much have the boots, so check that off the list.

This hat is adorable!  Especially when you pair it with a little black leather jacket and a great blouse.

These are only a few looks on my very long list that I've been eying lately.  Great inspiration for the colder months ahead.  Especially when you can occasionally feel not so cute with a million layers of clothes on for warmth.

What's on your wish list for the Fall?
